IN SEARCH OF HORSEMEN: THE SEARCH FOR EQUINE GAMES AND CULTURES IN AFRICA AND ASIA
On Saturday April 18th, Bob Thompson of Kinnerton, gave a fascinating account of his ‘other’ life from being a farmer; that of travelling all over the world, living with tribes and studying the games their horses play. He has been to the most remote countries of the Middle East and Africa as well as Mongolia, India and Pakistan, risking his life to discover these ancient and dwindling games. His extraordinary experiences have now been compiled into a book, over which five publishers are now competing.
It was a beautiful sunny evening as a record number of people packed into the church to listen to and watch his presentation. After, they enjoyed a wine and canapé party and everyone agreed it was a good evening.
